5 Problems I'm Facing in my 20's

The phrase "being in your 20's" is one I've heard millions of times but now that's me...
I'm "In my 20's" and it's come around so fast I almost feel like it knocked me off my feet.

Even though I've only just began this 10 year journey, I can feel the problems and stereotypes weighing me down already. I want to talk about them and see how everyone else is coping with the "best years of your life".

A Letter To My 16 Year Old Self

If you've never heard of the concept of writing a letter to your 16 year old self, let me explain.
The idea is fairly simple, you, whatever age you are now, write a letter providing advice or just general babble to what was your 16 year old self. You are writing from your present to your past.
I've been wanting to do one of these for a while and thought it would be interesting to share it on my blog and and encourage others to do the same. Here goes....

Graduation

This week I graduated from university (yay!) and even though it was a fun day full of celebration, it was stressful at times. I wanted to share some pictures from my day and wish all those who graduated this year, or will be doing so, good luck!

My dress was from Chi Chi Clothing and the heels were a last minute grab from Peacocks

Life Update: What is going on?

Since coming back from Canada I've had to do a lot of deciding and prioritizing about how I'm going to start my life post university.
Since I was 4 years old, every summer I've known that in September I'll be starting a new year of school. Whether it be primary or secondary school, 6th form or university, I knew I was going to be in education. Except for this year!
Whilst enjoying my summer in Canada, I knew when I was home I would have to start looking for a job and creating my future path. It was easier said than done and after a month of looking for a job I finally found something I wanted to do.
Whilst battling with the unemployment demons I was also chasing up a piece of lost luggage. It took me a month but I was finally reunited with my suitcase that contained my entire summer wardrobe an a lot of items I rely on for blogging (hence the absence).

Now things are finally looking up and I know how my days will be looking, I'll be back posting reviews and talking about everything beauty related that I love. I was lucky enough to buy a lot of make up and beauty related things in Canada that aren't available, hard to find, or expensive in the UK (yay!), so I have no shortage of writing material for my blog.
I'm excited to see where this new chapter on my life is going to take me!

Canada So Far...

I haven't found the time to write a blog post in ages... as you can tell. My Canada trip is as hectic as ever and not a lot changes. My days are filled with watching my nieces and nephews run around and cause havoc, bug each other and love one another. It's precious time I don't want to waste.

I've been doing lots even though sometimes it feels like I am not.
I've been Canadian Camping (what I call it) twice with my family and had the privilege of swimming in Gull Lake, jet skiing and boating with plus 30 degree weather.

Also I treated myself to a lot of make up goodies that are only available or easily accessible in North America! I will be doing lots of blogging and reviews of make up and skin care items when I'm back on English soil but right now I can't get a spare minute (and the right lighting) to take pictures and right a decent blog post.

Summer 2015 Update

I just wanted to update those who read my blog, with a little insight into my busy couple of months. I have finished my degree and moved back to the midlands which was a stressful experience in itself, mainly because I still haven't fully unpacked (argh!)

I am venturing off to Canada for 3 & a half months starting June 4th. I am beyond excited to be going back to Canada because it is such as beautiful country and I have lots of close family over there. I decided to go for this long because I don't know when I will ever get the time to go for an extended period again.

I've decided to vlog my journey and time in Canada and I will be uploading my vlogs to my YouTube channel HERE - so go and subscribe to be the first to see my Canadian Adventure! post signature

I feel the need to explain...

I haven't blogged in over month and I feel the need to explain why.
Those who are in their final year of university will completely understand how stressful it is. My dissertation (or management project as my uni likes to call it) has taken over my life.
Everyday for the past I don't know how many weeks, I have been sat in the library working away at methodology chapters, literature reviews and every other part of my 10,500 word project and it's killing me! However, the end is near and I have submitted my final draft for feedback and then it's not long until it will be handed in.

The only other viable reason I have for my absence is that I lost the charger for my camera battery so I couldn't take any blog pictures.
I've found it now praise the lord! I have bought SO many new things so I will be reviewing lots & blogging about my up and coming summer adventures, yay!

100th Blog Post

How crazy is that?!
Yup I've sat down 100 times to write on my blog. That's a lie, its been probably about 300 times but I constantly delete posts because they end up turning into waffle and pictures of cats....

I've been blogging for 3 years now and I'm pretty proud of how far I've come. I love blogging and it's changed my life, literally. I am currently in the middle of writing my dissertation based up fashion bloggers! I would never of chosen this subject if it wasn't for the blogging community and now I feel I know where I want to go in life, and it's because of this.
Do what you love and love what you do!
I'm so excited for what the future holds for me and my blog. I hope to take it and the people who read it, to far flung places with blue oceans and red sunsets.
But for now, I'll just concentrate on my infinite deadlines and stress spots...

2015

2015 for me is a big year. I will hopefully graduate with a good degree and find a good job to get my career going. I have hopes of working in Canada but that may be something I put off for a while due to funds and lack of job experience in what I want to do. I want to move out and get my own little place with a pastel kitchen and white walls. But then again that may be too much to ask for. In all I just want to properly start my life and stand on my own too feet.

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder...

I wish I didn't have excuses for my prolonged absence from the blogging scene, but unfortunately I have a heap.
Firstly my month in Canada was jam packed full on shopping and looking after my nieces and nephews, along with helping me sister who has the busiest life ever!
Secondly, I bought very little in Canada that I could take a picture of before I devoured it (their food is the best in the world I swear). It was mostly stationary and washi tape which you can just Google because it all looks the same.
Thirdly, I booked my flights home from Canada 2 days before I moved into my new university house so that time between arriving in the UK and starting my 3rd year, was spent packing and moving and unpacking and washing (ZZzzzz)

3rd Year at university is starting off with a bang. Work is piling up and funds are low so I know i won't be buying lots of things to blog about. I'll probably just do lots of writing blogs which I like so I'm sorry if you read my blog often, and don't like those.

One Month In Canada

If you follow my blog or any of my social media accounts (links are on the left) you will know that I am heading to Canada for a month. I made this trip last summer to see my brother and sister who live there, along with their children. This year I'm going for an entire month and flying a different route via Iceland and directly into the city my family live in rather than a direct flight to a different city and get a coach.

If you've never been to Canada I seriously suggest looking into it and not just the popular tourist cities. The mountains are beautiful and the people are the friendliest I have ever met. The country is truly beautiful whether you want to sightsee, shop in one of the worlds biggest malls (West Edmonton Mall) or camp in the mountains, Canada is worth every penny!

I've scheduled some posts for while I'm away and will try my best to blog. Keep checking my social media pages for pictures and updates.

Amsterdam!

I've been slacking on blogging recently due to some personal & university issues but I thought I'd share some pictures from my recent trip to Amsterdam.
This city is amazing! It should be in your top 10 places to visit no matter what you're hobbies or interests are. It's well known but the legal drugs and women in windows but despite that, it is really a beautiful city.
I fell in love with the architecture and how everyone rides bikes -even though that part scared me crazy!-

The 'No Make-Up' Make-Up Look!

Sometimes it's really nice to get up in the morning, do a full skin care routine and carefully apply your make up for the day. However, being at university usually means late nights and early mornings which don't offer the chance for the most perfect look everyday (I live with 5 boys and I don't sleep well!).
As we all know the weathers getting colder and the parka's are coming out so put your hood, plug in your earphones and get ready for a long day studying!

Most days are no make up days for me but I'll still put on some essentials so my face is completely naked! My 'naked day' essentials are -
 - Benefit POREfessional primer
- NYX HD studio finishing powder
- L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique in 1 Light
- L'Oreal Paris Falsh Lash Telescopic in Magnetic Black
- Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in 100% Black
- Maybelline BROWdrama in Dark Blond

Hair Colour -
Nice N Easy Colour Blend Foam Medium Ash Blonde 8A
Glasses - Specsavers
Parka - Primark

Remember, sometimes less is more!

Hello, October

I don't really have a favourite time of the year because there's bits of each season I love. For instance:
Spring - The fresh green grass, baby animals everywhere & my birthday
Summer - Sun, sea, sand, heat (I needn't say any more right?!)
Autumn - Hallowe'en, the colours, crispy frosty air, jumpers and boots
Winter - Christmas & New Year, snow, hot coffee and hats and scarves.
What is your favourite time of year?
One thing I love all year round is the pictures that pop up online depicting each month with the phrase 'Hello..' followed by the month. Below are some I found online for October.

Where Have I Been?

They say time fly's when you're having fun. And I couldn't agree more!
This summer has been amazing for me and I've found very little time to blog what with going to Canada for 3 weeks, Jamaica for 2 weeks then moving into a new house at university. I now live with 5 boys (yes, 5) in a student house in Bognor Regis where my university campus is. It was a last minute choice as my old landlady messed me around but I can say I am happy here!

University has been slow to start with as I only had a handful of lectures before we got the week off for freshers week. Going into my second year is scary but exciting knowing i am nearly halfway through my university education. I have changed my course to Marketing and feel happier about doing so. Hopefully this gets me where I want to be in life which still seems like the very distant future to me. I'm going to include some pictures of my second year at university so far.

I'll see you all soon!!

Canada

As mentioned in previous posts I recently returned from just over 3 weeks in Edmonton, Alberta in Canada where my brother and sister live along with my two nieces and two nephews. I thought I'd post a few of my favorite pictures from the trip and when we went into the mountains in Jasper.

Can you say HEAT?!

I have truly experienced heat these past few weeks with the English summer peaking new heat heights and it being well over 30 degrees in Canada. Ive only made it worse for myself - in 2 weeks im jetting off the Runaway Bay Jamaica!
My dads side of my family come from the parish down the road and a lot of our family are travelling over there for 2 weeks so i shall be happily joining them.

Pictures will be coming soon, promise!
