Mini Beauty Haul

Hey Guys! I haven't blogged in a while due to a hectic university timetable but I have been shopping!
I bought myself some new glasses and a lush iPad Mini (check my Instagram)
but I've been buying some gorgeous new beauty products so I thought I'd share them.

Benefit - They're Real Mascara £19.50
I avoided trying this mascara for so long because I couldn't justify the high price but when I gave in and bought I understood the hype! I love it and it WILL be repurchased!
(Price too high? - Try the mini versions sold in Boots)

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light - Here at Superdrug
I decided to give this under eye concealer a go after watching countless YouTube videos featuring in it. I've used other drug store under eye concealers but I definitely like this one as it suits my skin tone more and covers my dark circles really well!

New MAC lipsticks, Yay!!
I re-purchased So Chaud in Amsterdam recently after losing the one I bought in Canada last summer which I was annoyed about. I love this colour, it's a coral -red.
I really wanted to stray from my comfort zone of red lipsticks so I went onto the MAC website and bought Girl About Town and Flat Out Fabulous.
Girl About Town is a purpley pink amplified colour and Flat Out Fabulous is a retro matte, deep berry colour (my favourite so far).

With Flash - £15 each

Without Flash

I previously used a Barry M eyebrow definer gel wand to set my eyebrows but because i was clear it sometimes took the colour of the hairs of my eyebrows so I bought this Benefit Speed Brow.
It was pricey at £13.50 for such a small wand and amount of product (
3.0g Net wt. 0.10oz)
However, I'm impressed with it! Its colour isn't too dark and coats my brows eventually and keeps them set all day. I highly recommend trying this.

The 'No Make-Up' Make-Up Look!

Sometimes it's really nice to get up in the morning, do a full skin care routine and carefully apply your make up for the day. However, being at university usually means late nights and early mornings which don't offer the chance for the most perfect look everyday (I live with 5 boys and I don't sleep well!).
As we all know the weathers getting colder and the parka's are coming out so put your hood, plug in your earphones and get ready for a long day studying!

Most days are no make up days for me but I'll still put on some essentials so my face is completely naked! My 'naked day' essentials are -
 - Benefit POREfessional primer
- NYX HD studio finishing powder
- L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique in 1 Light
- L'Oreal Paris Falsh Lash Telescopic in Magnetic Black
- Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in 100% Black
- Maybelline BROWdrama in Dark Blond

Hair Colour -
Nice N Easy Colour Blend Foam Medium Ash Blonde 8A
Glasses - Specsavers
Parka - Primark

Remember, sometimes less is more!

OPI Offer

OPI is probably the most well known nail polish brand in the world. Its used in salons everywhere and most likely on every runway.
For Christmas I received the Vintage Minnie Minis collection which they no longer do but replaced it with the Couture de Mini collection. I got 3 mini nail varnishes and the RapiDry TopCoat. I have no faults what so ever with this rapid dry top coat and used all of the mini bottle up so purchased the full size one from Boots for £13.25. This is a lot to pay for a topcoat whoever its the best i have ever tried! Tries your nails completely in less than 60 seconds and keeps them chip free for days.
I saw an offer online for 5 OPI colours for £20, bargain I know?! I unfortunately didn't get to pick the colours but I was more than happy with the choices.
Pink Shatter, Black Shatter, Kiss me on the tulips, Tickle my france-y and french quarter for your thoughts.

I have no faults about OPI, I recommend them to anyone however they are expensive so if you can find any offers or deal I highly recommended going for them.

Nails, Nails & More Nails

I feel like nails are just another accessory to make an outfit complete, just as much so as a handbag or necklace.
Designers on catwalks are concentrating on nails as well as the detailing in their clothes. There is a new shaped nail taking over the world as well! Stiletto, pointy, claw shaped, what ever you call them, i love them and I've tried them myself! Below are some of my favourite styles and colours.

Tangle Teezer Review!

Firstly i am sorry if i accidently call this a tangle tweezer, for some reason it rolls off my tongue better.

This is a short review of a product i recently bought and love!
I like to keep my hair in good condition with products and oils but i am awful at brushing it, My hair gets so frizzy after i brush it so i only brush it right before i wash it every 2-3 days.

I decided to buy the Tangle Teezer after reading amazing reviews about how it gets rid of knots so easily. This was all i was after, not a regular brush.
I ordered mine from ASOS here for £10 but you can get it for under £9 here

I cannot rave about this so much. I dont see it as a hair brush to me because it barely leaves my hair frizzy its just tangle free! I use it when i need to, especially when washing my hair when the conditioner is still in.

Go and buy this product, replace your everyday hairbrush with this!!

Maybelline Fit Me Review

I've been extremely busy over the past few months and I've neglected my blog which I am sorry for!!
Ill cut the chit chat and dive straight into the review for Maybellines 'fit me' make up. What attracted me to it was the concept of once you find a colour to match your skin tone, you can easily have the power and concealer to match your skin tone without trying them all out.
I found my colour online by choosing 'yellow tones' I feel my skins a slightly bit more yellow than pink due to my olive skin colour which is all natural by the way!
I'm being extremely lazy and blogging from my iPhone so all the photos will be at the bottom for this review, sorry! These are what I purchased from super drug with their 3 for 2 offer across all beauty products. These are the products from left to right swatched and blended on my hand: concealer, foundation then power.
I feel it's a misleading picture of the result on my face due to the poor camera ( my iPhone) however they blend great on my hand and I can tell the affect because I have a large birth mark on my left hand which is successfully covered up by good make up. If any make up can cover that up it can work wonders on my face!
The concealer appears pale on application to my face, however once blended with concealer brush then covered with foundation it helps to reduce redness of spots and dark circles under the eyes! The power is my favourite as its light and a little is needed to take the shoe off your skin.
Overall I'm impressed by this range and would highly recommend it. Will continue to use it for sure, a strong 9/10!

Simple Soothing Toner

So, i bought Simple Soothing Toner about a week and a half ago and I've been trying to use at twice a day as it recommends however it hasn't been easy with being away at V festival and some early mornings. It was a bargain buy from www.superdrug.com for just £2.99 for 200ml but you can now get it on sale for £2 for the same amount.

The amount you get, 200ml, is a fairly good size for the price considering the directions tell you to apply it generously to cotton wool. As you can see theres still a lot left after nearly 2 weeks. I apply the toner to a cotton wool pad which you can buy from anywhere that sells make up and beauty products.
I followed instructions and applied the toner generously to a cotton wool pad then wiped in gentle, upward movements. The toner is alcohol free and really kind on your skin. Even if you arent gentle, the toner doesnt cause any skin irritation or redness which is always an added bonus. Even after taking off your make up which could be only foundation or a layer of primer, foundation and blusher or other products, it manages to get that layer of dirt off that builds up on your skin.
Its a product thats so gentle on your skin, its effective but, as recommended, needs to be used twice a day to keep your skin in good condition. I fully recommend this product and would give it a 8/10. I cant wait to try out more of their facial toners and skin products

Miley Cyrus Bikini

Woah everythings been on top of my lately with school, work and university and i havent blogged in ages but because ive been working so hard ive had time to do a bit of shopping and pick out some of my favourite summer pieces! This bikini worn by Miley Cyrus is a style thats one of my favourites for this summer. I dont like mixing and matching my styles of bikini's because of the tan lines.

You can find a similiar bikini to this (above) at ww.w.asos.com in different colours, and for a lot cheaper.

Good Things 5 Minute Facial Face Mask Review

I recently bought Good Things 5 Minute Facial and only just got round to using to and decided to write a review, well just because I can!
Price & Appearance
I bought it from Boots for £5.99 just on a whim. I'd never heard of the brand before or any of their products and what attracted me straight away was the design. The tube is a lilac colour with black, purple and pink detailing which caught my eye and made me look closer. I was looking for smaller sachets of face mask products usually a lot cheaper but this face mask was definitely worth the extra money! As it comes in a tube sealed by a capped lid and will obviously last more than one use, for £5.99 it probably works out cheaper.

The product itself
The face mask itself comes out a similar colour to the tube and it’s a thick cream substance however it does state the product colour may vary due to natural ingredients. It smells amazing! It has a fruity smell but not too over powerful or fragrant, more of a natural smell which is fitting as it contains natural ingredients.
Application & Result
Like any other face mask you have to apply it to a dry and clean face free from makeup. The face mask comes out pretty easy as it’s not too thick and it’s easy to spread onto the skin as you only need a thin layer, in my opinion layering it on wouldn’t achieve a better result it would just the waste the product as a thin layer achieves good results.
After waiting 5 minutes for the mask to dry you wash it off with warm water, it’s easily done with hands but a flannel could be used to make the process quicker. After doing this and drying my face I was pleasantly surprised! It left my skin not only feeling really fresh and soft but smelling fresh and fruity but not in the over powering way! I have naturally dry and oily skin this didn't leave my skin feeling oily at all although it was a little dry in places.
Opinion8/10 Im confident to give this face mask an 8 out of 10 because its reasonaly priced, well packaged, smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling truely more fresh. I will definitely be checking out their other products.
