NYX & Makeup Revolution Baked Blush Review

Baked Blushers are a fairly new concept to me and something that stands out from normal blushes. A year ago I would never have touched a make up product with any kind of glitter or shimmer in but now that's all changed and I reach for my highlighter and shimmery eyeshadow nearly every day.
I recently purchased two of the NYX Baked Blushes and one Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blush.

Spring Nails

I ventured into Superdrug recently and ended up buying a lot of things, as usual. Barrry M have bought out a new Aquarium range (what will they think of next?!).
There's 6 colours, 2 of which are glitter and the other 4 are a metallic type retailing at £3.99 each which is still a bargain for such good nail varnish.

There were only 3 colours left in Superdrug so I picked up the two I liked best. 'Arabian' which is a green/blue metallic and 'Mermaid' which is a blue glitter.

The other two colours I picked up were from the Gelly Hi Shine range which is also £3.99. Id wanted a royal, bright blue for a while and the picture of 'Blue Grape' doesn't do the colour justice; its so bright.
The other colour 'Green Berry' is a bright turquoise and looks so much more vivid and pigmented once painted onto your nails.

With Barry M I find 2 coats is ample but 3 creates a brighter colour but lasts just as long. I'm yet to discover a brand of nail varnish I like even more when it comes to price and quality.

Mini Beauty Haul

Hey Guys! I haven't blogged in a while due to a hectic university timetable but I have been shopping!
I bought myself some new glasses and a lush iPad Mini (check my Instagram)
but I've been buying some gorgeous new beauty products so I thought I'd share them.

Benefit - They're Real Mascara £19.50
I avoided trying this mascara for so long because I couldn't justify the high price but when I gave in and bought I understood the hype! I love it and it WILL be repurchased!
(Price too high? - Try the mini versions sold in Boots)

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light - Here at Superdrug
I decided to give this under eye concealer a go after watching countless YouTube videos featuring in it. I've used other drug store under eye concealers but I definitely like this one as it suits my skin tone more and covers my dark circles really well!

New MAC lipsticks, Yay!!
I re-purchased So Chaud in Amsterdam recently after losing the one I bought in Canada last summer which I was annoyed about. I love this colour, it's a coral -red.
I really wanted to stray from my comfort zone of red lipsticks so I went onto the MAC website and bought Girl About Town and Flat Out Fabulous.
Girl About Town is a purpley pink amplified colour and Flat Out Fabulous is a retro matte, deep berry colour (my favourite so far).

With Flash - £15 each

Without Flash

I previously used a Barry M eyebrow definer gel wand to set my eyebrows but because i was clear it sometimes took the colour of the hairs of my eyebrows so I bought this Benefit Speed Brow.
It was pricey at £13.50 for such a small wand and amount of product (
3.0g Net wt. 0.10oz)
However, I'm impressed with it! Its colour isn't too dark and coats my brows eventually and keeps them set all day. I highly recommend trying this.

Macadamia Oil Foot Pack Review

A friend recommended this Macadamia oil foot pack to me and knowing the good properties of Macadamia oil I bought one and tried it. These are just £1 in Poundland which you can't complain about and they claim to 'penetrate deep into the skin to reduce callus build up and help repair cracked & split heels'

They are simply one pair of plastic boots that are lined inside with the actual oil. They smell great and you can really smell the peppermint oil in them which helps because no one likes smelly feet!

The instructions are so simple - you just open up the pack and put on the boots for up to 20 minutes. Initially when you put your feet in the boots you notice how cold the gel is! It gave me a chilling effect because when my feet are cold I'm cold everywhere. Never the less, they didn't bother me for the duration they were on.

Overall, my feet feel really moisturised and soft, the heels are softened but I'm unsure on how they will prevent any callus or cracks in future. This is a nice beauty treatment for a pamper night or part of a beauty regime before a night out but I doubt I'll be doing this everyday.

MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer Review

I was looking for Lime Crime lipstick online and came across a lot of people saying that the new MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer was a good dupe for Lime Crime Lipstick, so decided to try it out!

I bought this lipstick in the colour Reckless
Its a dark red which reminds me of MAC's Russian Red, Rimmel Kate Matte Wine 107 and Lime Crime Glamour 101
If you wanted a bright, vibrant red I wouldn't recommend this as its dark and dries even darker then when applied.
It retails on the MUA website and at Superdrug for £3 which you can't complain about!

The actual lipstick is pretty thick so one coat is enough. It dries matte which is perfect with an almost velvet texture -hence the name-
I wore this for about 5 hours and drank a few glasses of juice and noticed it did wear off but only slightly where my lips came into contact with the glass. I'm in love with this lipstick! It didn't fade at all or transfer onto my fingers or clothes - BARELY onto the glass when I drank.
This is a perfect dupe for so many colours and at such a cheap price I know I'll go out and try the other colours.

REMEMBER - Superdrug do 10% STUDENT DISCOUNT! (I know it's great right?!)

The 'No Make-Up' Make-Up Look!

Sometimes it's really nice to get up in the morning, do a full skin care routine and carefully apply your make up for the day. However, being at university usually means late nights and early mornings which don't offer the chance for the most perfect look everyday (I live with 5 boys and I don't sleep well!).
As we all know the weathers getting colder and the parka's are coming out so put your hood, plug in your earphones and get ready for a long day studying!

Most days are no make up days for me but I'll still put on some essentials so my face is completely naked! My 'naked day' essentials are -
 - Benefit POREfessional primer
- NYX HD studio finishing powder
- L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique in 1 Light
- L'Oreal Paris Falsh Lash Telescopic in Magnetic Black
- Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara in 100% Black
- Maybelline BROWdrama in Dark Blond

Hair Colour -
Nice N Easy Colour Blend Foam Medium Ash Blonde 8A
Glasses - Specsavers
Parka - Primark

Remember, sometimes less is more!
