Top 5 Travel Tips

The weather might be unpredictable but the chance of you going away to somewhere hot and sunny this summer is pretty certain. I've been lucky enough to travel a lot of times and realised its important to take the right things with you. These are my top 5 travel tips for this summer. 

Amsterdam!

I've been slacking on blogging recently due to some personal & university issues but I thought I'd share some pictures from my recent trip to Amsterdam.

This city is amazing! It should be in your top 10 places to visit no matter what you're hobbies or interests are. It's well known but the legal drugs and women in windows but despite that, it is really a beautiful city.

I fell in love with the architecture and how everyone rides bikes -even though that part scared me crazy!-

Where Have I Been?

They say time fly's when you're having fun. And I couldn't agree more!
This summer has been amazing for me and I've found very little time to blog what with going to Canada for 3 weeks, Jamaica for 2 weeks then moving into a new house at university. I now live with 5 boys (yes, 5) in a student house in Bognor Regis where my university campus is. It was a last minute choice as my old landlady messed me around but I can say I am happy here!

University has been slow to start with as I only had a handful of lectures before we got the week off for freshers week. Going into my second year is scary but exciting knowing i am nearly halfway through my university education. I have changed my course to Marketing and feel happier about doing so. Hopefully this gets me where I want to be in life which still seems like the very distant future to me. I'm going to include some pictures of my second year at university so far.

Can you say HEAT?!

I have truly experienced heat these past few weeks with the English summer peaking new heat heights and it being well over 30 degrees in Canada. Ive only made it worse for myself - in 2 weeks im jetting off the Runaway Bay Jamaica!
 My dads side of my family come from the parish down the road and a lot of our family are travelling over there for 2 weeks so i shall be happily joining them.

Canada Update

So I previously posted about going to Canada for a few weeks and I was going to book through my cousin to get a cheaper deal. However, this plan fell through and I was forced to book through an online website and look for the cheapest flights.
 To cut a long story short, Im going on Tuesday the 18th (yay only 3 days!) and staying for a little over 3 weeks and returning the 12th july.

Around the world in one summer

I am extremely grateful for everything i have and not a day goes by when i don't appreciate it.
I didn't have the most extravagant upbringing however it was far from poverty.

I had extremely kind grandparents and my grandmother is still so so kind and generous and i wouldn't be where i am today without her generosity or help.

This summer im lucky enough to be spending 2 weeks in Jamaica just minutes away from my dads family home.
He died 3 years ago and i was never able to visit his native country with him nor see 'cottage' which is what the family call the house they help to build and maintain every year. Its far from a cottage and is more like a massive house!

This is only happening because my mother saved a large amount of money for me and i have decided to use this to fund this holiday. Its made extra special by a lot of family from my dads side also coming to Jamaica and staying near or with us during the same time.

However, before this i will be spending 3 weeks in Canada with my brother, sister, nieces and nephews. I havent met my neices who are 3 and nearly 1 which makes this a special trip also. This is being funded through saving my student loan, a generous donation from my Gran and a reduction on flights from my cousin.

This summer is going to be truely one to remember and i am so blessed and lucky to be doing all of this. 

Its Christmas!

I've been busy to say the least these past few months. University seems to be a totaly none stop world where i dont spend one second thinking about nothing and where theres is always something to do no matter if its your module assessment or your weeks washing!
Im currently stressing over my events essay which has to be in tomorrow at 1pm after ive done my events presentation which finishs at 12!
I have one exam next week then im all done for christmas except im not going home until the 21st boohooo :( My mum can't come and pick me up until then and there is no way on earth i will get a months worth of clothes home let alone my shoes, laptop, christmas present and hamster!
